Double Fellowship trained in Pain Medicine and Interventional Radiology
Dr. Edward Poon has dedicated his life to caring for his patients. He knew from an early age he wanted to become a physician. He completed an accelerated 6 year combined undergraduate/medical degree at Boston University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in medical science, graduating summa cum laude & a Doctor of Medicine with Phi Beta Kappa honors.
Dr. Poon completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at Boston University. He then finished his first fellowship in interventional radiology at University of Texas, San Antonio. He proceeded to his second fellowship in pain medicine at Arizona Pain, the largest program in Arizona.
He began his medical career in Albuquerque when he was appointed Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurosurgery at the University of New Mexico. In 2017, he refocused his energy to building a state of the art, independent medical clinic for interventional pain and minimally invasive therapies.
Dr. Poon’s extensive background in pain management, interventional radiology, and diagnostic radiology makes him uniquely qualified to diagnose and treat complex pain.
